He’s an absolutely electric shooter, a joy to watch, and he’s clearly worked his tail off to get to this point. But as for getting drafted in the two main rounds? I think it’s an uphill battle. The NBA is just so incredibly competitive. Teams tend to gamble on raw athleticism or proven all-around guys in the later picks, unless there’s a truly transcendent, game-changing skill that fits an immediate need.
If I had to guess, based on my “practice” of looking into this, I’d say he’s probably looking at trying to get a Summer League spot, maybe an Exhibit 10 contract that could lead to the G League, or even considering a solid professional career overseas where his shooting would be highly valued. And hey, playing pro ball anywhere is a massive accomplishment.
