Okay, so today I messed around with this “jeanine robel” thing. Honestly, I didn’t even know what it was at first. I just heard some folks talking about it, and it sounded kind of interesting, so I decided to give it a shot.
First off, I had to figure out what this whole deal was about. I spent a good chunk of time just Googling, you know, the usual. It wasn’t super clear, but I pieced together that it’s some kind of fashion designer, maybe? I saw a bunch of pictures of dresses and stuff. Seemed fancy, not really my usual style, but hey, I’m open to trying new things.
After I had a basic grasp, I started by, you guessed it, looking at more pictures. I went to some different websites, trying to get a feel for her style. There are a lot of designs. It was a bit overwhelming, but I tried to focus on the stuff that actually looked good to me. It has lots of colors. I saved a few of the pictures that I liked to a folder on my computer.
- First, I created a new folder on my desktop called “jeanine robel inspiration”.
- Then, I downloaded about 20 images that I thought were cool.
- I opened each image in my image viewer and looked at them carefully.
Next, I decided to try and sketch some of my own designs, inspired by what I saw. Now, I’m no artist, but I figured it would be a fun way to really get into this whole “jeanine robel” thing. I grabbed a pencil and a notebook and just started doodling. It was pretty messy, to be honest. Lots of scribbles and erasures. I drew maybe five or six different dress ideas. Some were long and flowy, others were short and, I guess you could say, a little more daring.
After that, I took a break. My brain was fried. I made myself a sandwich and watched some TV. When I came back, I looked at my sketches again. They weren’t masterpieces, but I started to see how I could maybe, just maybe, put together an outfit that kind of captured that “jeanine robel” vibe. I picked out my favorite design, a simple, elegant dress, and started to think about what kinds of fabrics I would need to make it.
Finally, I spent some time browsing online for fabrics. I found a few websites that sold the kind of material I was looking for. I didn’t buy anything yet, but I bookmarked the pages so I could come back to them later. This is where I call it a day with this project.

My Takeaway
So, that’s my journey with “jeanine robel”. It was definitely a different experience for me. I wouldn’t say I’m a convert or anything, but it was cool to step outside my comfort zone and explore something new. Who knows, maybe I’ll actually try to make one of those dresses someday. We’ll see. That’s what happened today.
