That Jabbar Muhammad, he sure can play some ball, I tell ya! I seen lots of folks talkin’ ’bout his stats, so I thought I’d tell ya what I know. He’s a good boy, that one. Strong, too. You gotta be strong to play football, you know.

Folks keep sayin’ he’s a “Defensive Back”. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that fancy talk. Alls I know is he runs fast and tackles hard. He played for them Washington Huskies, then he went to that Oregon Ducks. He must like ducks, I reckon. He’s a young fella, still got a lot of playin’ in him.
I heard some folks sayin’ he’s number 7. I don’t know why they give ’em numbers, seems silly to me. Just call him Jabbar, that’s his name! They say he’s a “Senior” too. He ain’t no senior citizen, that’s for sure! He’s just a young buck, full of beans.
- He’s about 5-10, that’s what they say.
- Weighs 185, that’s a good size for a football player.
- He comes from DeSoto, wherever that is.
They got all these numbers about him, his stats. How many times he tackled somebody, how far he ran… It’s all a bit much for me. I just like watchin’ him play. He’s got that fire in his belly, that one. Reminds me of my grandson, always runnin’ around, full of energy.
This one fella was sayin’ Jabbar’s gonna be in some “draft”. Like a lottery or somethin’? I don’t understand. Seems like they just pick who they want. Why do they gotta make it so complicated? Just let the boy play ball! And those “NCAAF” stuffs, I don’t understand it, sounds like gibberish. I only know that kid Jabbar is very good at playing football.
I seen him playin’ on that ESPN thingy. My grandson showed me. They got all them games on there. It’s amazin’ what they can do these days. Back in my day, we just had the radio. And we liked it! But I gotta say, it is nice to see them boys playin’ on the TV.

Some people say that Jabbar entered some “transfer portal” stuff for the second time. What is that? Is it a door? A magic door? I don’t understand those young people. Why can’t he just stay in one team and play happily? Why should he change and change all the time?
This Jabbar, he’s a good player, no doubt about it. But all these stats and numbers, they just confuse me. I just like to watch him play. He’s a good boy, that Jabbar. Hope he does well. It don’t matter if he’s playin’ for them Huskies or them Ducks. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that matters.
He started playing for Washington in 2023. I don’t know how many games he has played and how many scores he got. Those things are too complicated for me. I only know he is good at playing football. He can run and catch.
That kid is strong, I have seen him on TV. He can beat many other boys and run very fast. Maybe the fastest in his team. That is why people always talk about his stats. He is so good that people want to know his stats. They like him.
I don’t know much else about this Jabbar Muhammad fella. Just that he’s a good football player. And that’s all that matters to me. These young folks and their fancy words, they can keep ’em. I’ll just stick to watchin’ the game. I hope one day he can be the best one in the world. If he plays well, maybe one day he can earn a lot of money. Then he can buy a big house and a big car for himself.

He is still very young, so he will have a lot of time to play football. I hope he won’t get injured. That will be bad. If he is injured, he can’t play, right? I hope he can play for many many years. Then his stats will be very good. Everyone will know him, even me, an old lady who doesn’t know many things.
