Alright, so I spent a good chunk of my weekend doing a bit of a deep dive. You know how names get thrown around, especially during transfer season? Does he look for the pass, the shot, or just keep dribbling? How often does he track back? Does he press? You know, the stuff that separates a good player from one who fits a specific top team’s system.
After watching hours of tape, I started digging into some stats too. Nothing too crazy, just the basics. Goals, assists, chances created, dribbles completed, pass accuracy, defensive actions. Just wanted to see if the numbers sort of matched what my eyes were telling me. And yeah, they mostly did. The dribbling numbers were high, chance creation decent, goal threat definitely there for a midfielder.
Figuring out the Fit

- The Question Marks: Where’s his best position in the current Arsenal setup? Is he consistent enough across 90 minutes, week in, week out? What’s his defensive output like – does he fit the Arteta work ethic? There was also that bad injury a while back, always a slight concern.
So, my little project ended up like this: yeah, Eze is obviously a baller. Super talented player who could definitely add something unique to Arsenal’s attack. But slotting him straight into the team isn’t as simple as it sounds on paper, at least from what I gathered during my little practice run here. It’s more complicated than just ‘sign him’. Made me realize it’s easy to shout names, harder to actually build a cohesive team. Good exercise, though. Definitely got a better feel for the player myself rather than just reading about him.
