Setting Out for That Blue Coral
Alright, so I got this idea stuck in my head a while back. I needed to get myself a shiny Corsola. Don’t ask me why exactly, sometimes you just see something and think, “Yeah, I want that.” Maybe it’s ’cause the regular one is pink and kinda cheerful, and the shiny is this cool, almost ghostly blue. Seemed like a proper challenge too, and I guess I was bored.

The Grind Begins: Eggs, Eggs, and More Eggs
So, I decided the best way, or maybe the most stubborn way, was gonna be breeding. Got my hands on a Corsola, nothing special there. Then I tracked down one of those Dittos from someone overseas – you know the trick, the Masuda thing they call it. Supposed to make shinies show up more often. Ha! More often than never, maybe.
Threw them both into the nursery. And then? Then came the biking. Back and forth, back and forth. Felt like I was wearing a groove into the game map. Collect eggs. Put eggs in party. Bike some more. Hatch eggs. Check ’em. Nope, pink. Release. Repeat.
- Step 1: Get eggs.
- Step 2: Bike like a maniac.
- Step 3: Hatch.
- Step 4: Sigh.
- Step 5: Release the little pink dudes.
- Step 6: Go back to Step 1.
Honestly, it felt like forever. Days, maybe weeks? Lost track. I started doing other stuff while biking. Watched shows, listened to music, drank gallons of tea. Anything to break the monotony. You start seeing those pink Corsola in your sleep after a while.
Doubts and Almost Giving Up
There were definitely times I thought about packing it in. You hatch like, box number 15, and they’re all just… normal. You think, is this even real? Does this blue thing actually exist or is it just a prank someone pulled? It gets discouraging, man. You see folks online getting their shiny on the tenth egg or something. Not me. Oh no. I always seem to draw the short straw on these hunts. Maybe the game knows I’m too stubborn to quit easily.
I remember switching off the console one night thinking, “That’s it, I’m done. This is dumb.” But then, next morning, cup of tea in hand, I picked it right back up. It’s like an itch you gotta scratch, you know?

Finally! That Sparkle!
And then, it happened. Just like that. Wasn’t even paying full attention, just going through the motions. Hatched another batch of five. Click, click, click… wait. Hold on. That one looked… different. That wasn’t pink. It was BLUE! And it sparkled! That little animation, you know the one.
I actually jumped a bit. Scared the dog, I think. Stared at the screen for a good minute just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. But nope. It was real. Shiny Corsola. After all that biking, all those rejected pink ones.
Worth It? Yeah, Probably.
So, there you have it. My long, kinda boring, but ultimately successful hunt for the blue coral. Took way too long. Was tedious as heck. But that moment you finally see it? Yeah, that feels pretty good. It’s chilling in my collection now, proof of my sheer bloody-mindedness. Now, what to hunt next…
