So I finally got a tee time at Shadow Creek in Vegas, that super exclusive course you always hear about. Woke up early, drove out to the middle of nowhere desert basically, and got greeted by security guards checking lists like I was entering Fort Knox. Had to prove I was staying at an MGM property just to get past the gate – wild stuff.

Checked in at this fancy clubhouse that felt more like a luxury hotel lobby. Staff took my clubs immediately while handing me a cold towel and some fancy lemon water. Then came the wallet shocker: dropped $600 just for the green fee! That’s before caddie tip, drinks, nada. Almost choked on my lemon water when they swiped my card.
The actual round went like this:
- Caddie named Dave insisted on reading every putt like it was the Masters. Dude knew every blade of grass on that course
- Saw more waterfalls than in my entire life – felt like Disneyland for golfers with fake mountains and streams everywhere
- Fairways rolled like pool tables but sand traps ate my balls like Pac-Man. Lost three Pro V1s before the turn
- At the turn, they had gourmet sandwiches waiting at this hidden snack shack. Chicken pesto thing was legit amazing though
After sinking my last putt on 18 (triple bogey, who cares), they cleaned my clubs while I sat in a massage chair drinking craft beer. Whole experience from arrival to departure took about 6 hours with how leisurely they make you play.
Honest verdict? If you got cash to burn and want Vegas bragging rights, hell yeah it’s worth it once. But dropping that kinda dough regularly? No chance. Felt like paying for a concert where you’re actually onstage with the band – insane experience but you’re still kinda paying for the story to tell buddies.
