Okay, so here’s the deal. Yesterday, I saw something crazy trending online: “Mike Tyson Dies.” My jaw dropped, I’m a big fan! So, naturally, I had to dig in and see what was going on.

First thing I did was hit up Google. Typed in “Mike Tyson death” and started sifting through the results. Saw a bunch of clickbaity headlines, which immediately made me suspicious. You know how it is these days – gotta be skeptical.
Next, I hopped over to Twitter. I figured if Iron Mike had actually passed, there’d be some legit news outlets tweeting about it. Started searching for his name, and even checked for trending hashtags related to his death. Again, lots of chatter, but nothing concrete from verified sources.
Then, I remembered Snopes. Those guys are like the mythbusters of the internet. They debunk all the crazy stuff that floats around. So, I went straight to their website and searched for “Mike Tyson death.” Low and behold, they already had an article about it!
Turns out, it was a hoax! Some fake news site had put out a story claiming he died, and it spread like wildfire. Snopes confirmed it was completely untrue, and Tyson is alive and well.
I breathed a huge sigh of relief, I tell ya! But it also made me realize how easily misinformation can spread online. It’s scary! So, from now on, I’m gonna be extra careful about what I believe and share.

Here’s what I learned from this whole experience:
- Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.
- Check your sources before sharing anything.
- Snopes is your friend!
So yeah, that’s my story about almost believing Mike Tyson had died. Glad it was all a big misunderstanding. Now, I’m gonna go watch some of his old fights and appreciate the legend while he’s still with us!
