That Foamstars game, my grandson keep talking about it. He says he wants to play with his friend, but they got different game boxes. He ask me, “Grandma, is Foamstars crossplay?” I don’t know nothing about these things. But I hear some folks talking, so I try to figure it out.

Can You Play Foamstars With Friends on Different Boxes?
So, this Foamstars, it’s like a game where you shoot foam, I think. Sounds messy. My grandson, he’s got one of them PlayStation 5 boxes. His friend, he got the older one, the PlayStation 4. They want to play together, you see. I hear that this is called crossplay. It means playing together even if you got different machines.
Well, I asked around. Old Maggie, she’s got a grandson too, he plays all them games. She said her grandson told her yeah, these Foamstars, you can play it on the 5 and the 4, no problem. So, seems like them kids can play together after all. That’s good, keep them busy.
Other Games and This Crossplay Thing
It ain’t just Foamstars, you know. There’s other games too. Like that Battlefield one, the one with all the shooting and soldiers. I heard them talking about it down at the market. They say you can play it on different boxes, but it ain’t always simple. Some of them old boxes can only have so many players, like 64, I think they said. The new ones, they can have more, like a hundred and something. It’s all confusing.
- Foamstars: PS5 and PS4 can play together.
- Battlefield 2042: It’s a bit tricky, depends on the box.
- Deep Rock Galactic: I don’t know this but sounds like it’s a yes and no thing.
Then there’s another one, Deep Rock Galactic. Don’t know much about that one. Sounds like you dig rocks. But I heard them say something about crossplay with that one too. Seems like some folks can play together, but not everyone. It’s like if you got a shovel and I got a hoe, we can both dig, but it ain’t the same, you see? Like only the computer and Xbox people can cooperate together. I don’t understand all these, it is all new to me.
Is Foamstars Free to Play?
One more thing, that Foamstars game, seems like you don’t need to pay to play it, it is free to play. I guess they had to download it from that internet store on the PlayStation box. That’s what I understood. You just download it and you’re good to go. That’s how it works these days, I guess. Don’t need to go to no store to buy a game no more. Everything’s on that internet. It’s all beyond me, but as long as the kids are happy, I guess it’s alright.

Why This Crossplay Matters
Why do these kids care so much about this crossplay? Well, I guess it’s ’cause they want to play with their friends. Back in my day, we just played outside. Tag, hide-and-seek, that kind of thing. Didn’t matter what you had, we all just played. But these days, kids, they all got these game boxes. And if they can’t play together, they get all upset. So, this crossplay thing, it makes them happy. They can play with whoever they want, no matter what box they got. This is important for them to have fun.
I still don’t understand all these things. But I try to listen, you know. Kids these days, they know all about these things. It’s a different world now. As long as they’re happy and staying out of trouble, that’s all that matters. And if this Foamstars crossplay thing helps with that, then I guess it’s a good thing. It is good that they can play together. This is important for them.
This Foam Game, Is It Any Good?
Now, I ain’t played this Foamstars myself. But I see my grandson playing it. Lots of colors, lots of foam flying around. Looks kind of fun, I guess. He is always so exciting when playing it. He’s always shouting and laughing. Seems like he’s having a good time. I don’t know if it’s any good, but he sure seems to like it. Maybe it is a good game after all.
And you know what? He’s playing with his friend, the one with the other box. They’re talking and laughing, even though they’re not in the same room. It’s like magic. This Foamstars crossplay, it’s bringing people together. Maybe it’s not so bad after all. This is good. I am glad that they can have fun.
I still think they should go outside and play more. Get some fresh air, you know? But I guess this is how it is now. These game boxes, they’re a big part of their lives. And if this Foamstars game, with its crossplay, can make them happy and let them play with their friends, then I’m all for it. Whatever makes them kids smile, that’s what matters. Maybe I should ask my grandson to teach me how to play it. It might be fun to shoot some foam, who knows? I can try to learn it and play with him. That would be interesting.
