Okay, so today I decided to mess around with “smash icons,” and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I’ve always liked the idea of customizing my desktop, making it truly mine, you know?
Getting Started
First, I poked around to see my options. I found couple of icons I wanted to “smash”,I mean, customize the look. I mean the default icons are just so…blah.
The Process (aka The Fun Part)
I grabbed the few icons,I started with something simple,Just tried.
Then I selected all the icons with the new size,right-clicked, and looked for something like “Properties.” Boom, there it was – a “Customize” tab. Clicked on that, and then found a button that said “Change Icon…”
Picking the Perfect Icon
A new window popped up, and I browsed to find something that looked cool, finally choose a picture that I felt was more apporiate.
The Grand Finale
Hit “OK,” then “Apply,” and…bam! My desktop looks fresh. It’s a small thing, but it makes me happy every time I see it. It’s like giving your digital space a little personality, you feel me?
It’s really easy, and it makes a big difference in how your desktop feels. Give it a shot!
