How to Handle a Fight on Golf Course When Tensions Rise?

Okay, so the other day, I decided to get back on the golf course. It had been a while, and honestly, I was a little rusty. But the weather was perfect, and I figured, “Why not?” So I grabbed my old clubs from the garage, dusted them off – they were seriously dusty – and headed out.

First thing I did was hit the driving range. Gotta warm up, right? My first few swings? Let’s just say they weren’t pretty. I shanked a couple, topped a few others… it was a mess. But I kept at it, trying to remember the feel of a good swing. Slowly, things started to click. I started to find my rhythm, and the balls were actually going where I wanted them to.

Hitting the Course

After feeling somewhat confident (or at least, less embarrassed), I decided to play a few holes. The front nine was a bit of a rollercoaster. I had a couple of decent drives, but my short game was all over the place. I missed some easy putts, flubbed a few chips… you name it. It was frustrating, but I tried to stay positive. I mean, I was out there, enjoying the sunshine, and getting some exercise. That’s gotta count for something, right?

  • First Hole: Bogey. Not terrible, but could have been better.
  • Second Hole: Double bogey. Ugh. My putting let me down.
  • Third Hole: Par! Finally, something to smile about.
  • Fourth Hole: Another bogey. Back to reality.

Then there was a fight on golf course, many people were punching and kicking some guys, and then one guy picked the golf club to hit another person’s head!

By the time I finished a few holes, I was feeling it. My back was starting to ache, and my hands were getting sore. But I managed to get one more birdie, so that felt good. Overall, it wasn’t my best performance, but it was still fun. I got some fresh air, some exercise, and I reconnected with a game I used to love. I definitely need to practice more, but I’m already looking forward to my next round…hopefully with fewer shanks and more birdies!
