Man, I got so tired of crawling around looking for wild honeycombs. Takes forever and half the time my Pals accidentally smash ’em. Totally not worth it. So I thought, heck, there’s gotta be a smarter way to farm honey. Took me ages to figure it out, but finally cracked it. Here’s how my dumb butt finally got honey rolling in.

Step 1: Finding the Right Honey Bee Pal
First thing? Gotta catch a Beegarde. No way around it. Spent hours wandering in the little desert canyon area early game. Saw other bee-looking Pals, but nah, they don’t work for honey production. Finally spotted a lonely Beegarde buzzing near some flowers. Tossed a bunch of cheap spheres until one stuck. Felt like forever. Key Tip: Don’t waste time on the other bee types, only Beegarde actually produces honey!
Step 2: Building the Set-Up (The Dumb Way First)
So, I slapped down a Primitive Ranch like usual, popped my Beegarde in there. Super obvious, right? Wrong. Checked back next morning. Nothing. Zip. Zero honey. Beegarde was just happily flying in little circles doing who knows what. Felt like a total waste. Time to actually figure out what it needed.
- Water Access: Tried putting a Water Spring nearby. Beegarde buzzed over, took a little sip sometimes. Good sign? Not really. Still no honey.
- Pal Mood: Heard happy Pals work better. Kept it well-fed with berries. Mood stayed fine. Still zip.
Step 3: The “Duh” Moment & Fixing Things
Was almost ready to give up. Then, kinda by accident, noticed Beegarde bumping into the Ranch walls a lot. Lightbulb went off. Maybe it needed flowers? Didn’t have any ranch decorations, so I literally just planted Flower Beds right next to the ranch. Simple farming plots, planted the basic petals I had.
Next day? BAM! Found a single honey blob sitting on the ranch floor! Finally! Looks like Beegarde needs to interact with flowers nearby to produce. Makes sense, right? Bees like flowers. Can’t believe it took me that long to try it.
Step 4: Scaling Up the Honey Rush
Got greedy after that first honey drop. Okay, one Beegarde got me one honey overnight. How to get more?

- More Beegardes = More Honey: Went back and caught like 4 more Beegardes. Put them all in the same Primitive Ranch.
- More Flowers: Planted a bunch of Flower Beds all around the ranch. Cheap and easy.
- Food Bowl: Made sure the ranch’s food trough was full of berries. Didn’t seem super critical, but why risk unhappy bees?
The Sweet Results
Checked back the next morning. Almost fell over. Instead of one measly honey piece, there were like 8 or 9 pieces laying around the ranch! Boom! Honey rain! It scales pretty much one-to-one per Beegarde as long as you got those flower beds nearby. Saved me so much time wandering.
Stupid simple once you know: Catch Beegardes, put ’em in Ranch, plant basic Flower Beds right beside it, keep them fed. Come back later to honey piling up. Finally, no more desperate, slow honey hunts. Feels good.
