So, I got this clue today, “Fare for Little Miss Muffet.” Sounds simple enough, right? I mean, who hasn’t heard that nursery rhyme? I started thinking about what this little lady was eating in the story.

I pictured her sitting on her tuffet, and then I remembered the words, “curds and whey.” That’s it! But the clue just wanted the “fare” part, so I focused on that. Curds didn’t fit, but then I thought, maybe it’s just the “whey” part they’re after.
Tried to fit “WHEY” into the puzzle, and bingo! It worked. Four letters, just what I needed. That was a pretty straightforward one, to be honest. Sometimes these little puzzles are a breeze, and other times, man, they can really make you scratch your head.
I went online and checked out a few forums and crossword sites. Seems like a lot of folks got this one pretty easily too. But there was some chatter about other possible answers, like people suggesting all sorts of stuff, which I thought was funny.
Anyway, I wrote down “WHEY” in my little notebook where I keep track of these things. It’s satisfying to get these clues right, you know? Kind of like a little win for the day. I also jotted down the date, September 24, 2024, so I can look back and remember this particular puzzle.

Solutions:
After solving it, I read a bit more about the rhyme itself. Apparently, it’s about being scared of spiders. Arachnophobia, they call it. Makes sense, I guess. Little Miss Muffet sure was terrified of that spider in the rhyme.

So, that’s my little crossword adventure for today. Nothing too crazy, but it was a fun little brain teaser. Now I’m off to see what other puzzles I can tackle. Maybe I’ll try a harder one later, just to keep things interesting.
