Getting My Hands on Clefairy
So yesterday I decided to finally evolve my Clefairy after weeks of procrastinating. Grabbed my Nintendo Switch around 9 PM thinking it’d take maybe 20 minutes tops. Boy was I wrong.

Moon Stone Madness
First step was getting a Moon Stone obviously. Went straight to Mt. Coronet where I remembered finding one last playthrough. Searched every dang sparkle spot for an hour – nothing but Revives and common fossils. Felt like the game was trolling me hard.
Checked online quick and learned you can farm them from wild Clefairy too. Camped outside Mt. Moon caves swinging my Pokédex like crazy. After like 50 encounters, a wild Clefairy finally held the stupid stone! Used Thief immediately before it could flee.
The Evolution Fail
Ran home excitedly, opened my team screen and tapped “Use Moon Stone” on Clefairy. Animation started… but then nothing. Little pink dude just stared back at me. Panic set in – did I mess up the process?
Turns out I forgot the friendship requirement! My Clefairy hated me ’cause I kept letting it faint during gym battles. Had to cram soothe bell on it and bike laps around Turffield for another hour petting it after every battle.
Victory at Last
Finally saw those floating hearts above Clefairy’s head meaning max friendship. Used the Moon Stone again at 2:15 AM. That beautiful evolution glow happened! Got myself a chubby Clefable finally.

Important things I’d tell anyone trying this:
- Stock up on healing items before Mt. Coronet hunting
- Bring Pokémon with Frisk/Thief to save time
- Check friendship constantly with the app
- Don’t neglect the soothe bell – it’s clutch
Wasted four hours but worth it. Now my Clefable’s crushing dragon types like paper cups. Just wish I’d known about the friendship thing before! Good luck to anyone trying this – watch out for those sneaky friendship meters.
