Well, let me tell you, this here Overwatch thing, it ain’t as easy as pie to figure out. My grandson, bless his heart, he tried to show me how to add a friend on Overwatch, but I got all turned around. But I think I got it now, so let me tell you what I learned. First thing, you gotta open up that Overwatch 2, you know. And when that picture comes up, you log in with your… uh… Blizzard thingamajig. That’s what you gotta do. Click the button, put in your email and your password. All that usual stuff. It is not that hard, just need to remember your information.
Now, there’s a couple of ways to add your friends on Overwatch. You see that button right there on the screen, kinda near the top? It says “Add a Friend” or somethin’ like that. Just click it. It is really easy to find.
If you’re startin’ from scratch, you gotta open up that * launcher first. My grandson showed me. He said that is important, you gotta open that first. Then when you see your little picture, your… what’s it called… avatar? Yeah, your avatar. There is the “Add a Friend” button. You gotta click on that little button, right there under your picture, and then, well, you gotta type in your friend’s name or whatever it is. I think it is called Battletag. You should ask them before you do all this. It is better to get things ready.
So, you click that, and then you gotta put in your friend’s… uh… their * name. You know, their name they use for this whole thing. You gotta put that in there. Ask your friend what is their Battletag. You gotta type it in just right, or it won’t work. No spaces or funny business, just like they wrote it down. So you just type it in.
Then you gotta click another button to send it. Another button. So many buttons! But I guess that’s how it goes. You gotta send it to ’em, and then they gotta say yes on their end.
There is another way, I think. Something about account setting. There is a little button for your account, just like we talked about before, find your avatar. Then you find the account setting. You know, there is a “privacy and communication” thing. You click on that, and it brings up a whole bunch of other stuff. It is a bit complicated, but we can do it.
Then you gotta scroll, scroll, scroll, down that page until you see somethin’ about “Friends“. Yeah, that’s it, “Friends“. And there’s a little checky box thing. You know, you gotta make sure that’s checked. Or else it won’t let you add nobody. My grandson, he had to do that for me. He said it wasn’t turned on. And he said sometimes you need a code. That code will send to your email, and you have to type it in.
If that thing is not checked, you gotta click it. Then, I think, you’re good to go. You should be able to add your friends then. It’s like a light switch, you gotta turn it on. It should be easy after you click it.
If you have friends who play on console, you can still add them. If they are also using the * account, there is no problem. They just do the same thing on their end. I know someone said they are using PS4, PS5, or PC. No problem.
