Okay so I was scrolling through basketball highlights yesterday, right? Saw this dude Cormac Ryan making some clutch plays for North Carolina. Looked familiar, maybe from Notre Dame before? Whatever. My brain just went sideways – how old is this guy actually? Like right now. Seems like he’s been around forever, but obviously isn’t 40 playing college ball. Weird thing to fixate on, but hey, that’s my brain.

So, obviously, I grabbed my phone. Opened up Chrome, feeling productive. Typed “Cormac Ryan age” like you do. Hit enter. Boom. First page filled with articles and junk from like 2021, 2022. Talking about him being a junior or something back then. Useless. Needed now. Tried “Cormac Ryan current age 2024”. Same junk. Articles saying “X years old” without saying when they wrote it. Infuriating. My coffee was getting cold.
Figured I needed the birthday. That’s the key. Go old school. Typed “Cormac Ryan date of birth”. Still no joy. Fine. Added “basketball” to narrow it down. Finally, FINALLY, a bio page pops up – ESPN maybe? Some sports site. Listed it plain as day: September 20, 1999. Oh thank goodness. Gotcha.
Right, math time. It’s August 3rd, 2024. September is next month. So:
- Born 1999 means he turns 25 this year.
- September birthday hasn’t happened yet in 2024.
Grabbed my coffee cup like a microphone: “Ladies and gentlemen, Cormac Ryan is currently 24 years old.” Felt silly, but mission accomplished. He turns 25 in about a month and a half.
Whole thing took maybe ten minutes? Feels longer when you’re frustrated. Honestly, why is finding a simple, current age so damn hard sometimes? Dates matter! Anyway, mystery solved. Kid’s 24. Hope he has a good season. Now, where did I leave that coffee?
