Okay, so the other day I was messing around and wanted to see what this “black boxer” thing was all about. I’m not a pro or anything, just a regular guy who likes to try new things. So, I started looking it up, and it’s basically about figuring out what kind of boxing style suits you best. Makes sense, right? You gotta play to your strengths.

I started by just watching some videos and reading some stuff online. Nothing fancy, just trying to get a basic idea. I saw that some guys are all about power, some are more about speed, and some are just really good at dodging and weaving. I guess you could say I was trying to find my “boxing spirit animal” or something, haha.
- First, I tried just throwing punches. Hard, fast, slow, you name it. I felt like a wild man, swinging away. After a while, my arms felt like they were gonna fall off!
- Then I tried to focus on my footwork. Moving around, trying to be light on my feet like those pro guys. I tripped over myself more times than I can count. Felt pretty clumsy, to be honest.
- Next, I tried to mix it up. Some power punches, some quick jabs, trying to move around. It was tough! I was sweating buckets and my heart was racing.
After a few days of this, I started to get a little better. I realized I’m not really a power guy. I’m more about moving around, using my speed and trying to be unpredictable. It’s kind of like being a sneaky ninja in the ring, instead of a big, strong bull.
I kept practicing, trying to refine my style. I even tried to set some practices, but that was too much for me, I am not a professional boxer after all.
And I am starting to feel more confident, though, I would not say I can beat someone.
So, that’s my “black boxer” story. I didn’t become a pro or anything, but I learned something about myself and had some fun along the way. It’s all about finding what works for you and going with it. Maybe one day I’ll actually spar with someone, but for now, I’m happy just shadow boxing in my living room. It’s a good workout, and it makes me feel like a badass, even if I’m just fighting the air!
