How Do You Draw Steve From Minecraft? Lets Learn!

Ok, I understand. Here’s my attempt at a blog post following your instructions:

## How Do You Draw Steve? My Blocky Adventure

Alright, so I got this crazy idea stuck in my head: I wanted to draw Steve from Minecraft. Seems easy, right? Just a bunch of squares. But I wanted to do it right. Here’s how I went about it.

First, I grabbed my iPad and Apple Pencil. Gotta have the right tools, ya know? Then I fired up Procreate. It’s my go-to for digital art.

Next, I started with the head. It’s just a cube, basically. I drew a square-ish shape, not perfectly square, a little bit elongated. Then I added some basic guidelines inside the square to help me place the eyes, nose, and mouth later. Just a light crosshair kinda thing.

Then I moved on to the body. I drew another, bigger rectangle below the head. This one was definitely rectangular, longer than it was wide. I kinda eyeballed the proportions, making sure it looked like it fit with the head.

After the body, I tackled the arms and legs. These were just more rectangles! I drew two arms hanging down from the sides of the body, and two legs extending down from the bottom. I tried to make sure they were roughly the same length and thickness, again, just eyeballing it.

Now came the fun part: adding the details! I started with the eyes. I drew two small, square-ish pixels for the eyes, placing them on the horizontal guideline I drew earlier. I made them one pixel apart.

Then I added the nose. Just a single, slightly larger square pixel right below the eyes. I chose a slightly darker shade of brown for the nose to give it some depth.

For the mouth, I drew a horizontal line of pixels below the nose. This formed Steve’s simple, blocky smile.

Next up was the hair. I drew a bunch of brown pixels around the top and sides of the head to create Steve’s signature hairstyle. I tried to make it look a little bit messy and uneven, like it was made of actual blocks.

After the face and hair, I worked on the clothes. I colored the body a blue-ish color for Steve’s shirt, and the legs a darker blue for his pants. I added a few details, like the edges of the shirt and the cuffs of the pants, using slightly darker shades of blue.

Finally, I added some shading. I used a soft brush to add some subtle shadows to the sides of the head, body, arms, and legs. This helped to give the drawing a little bit of depth and dimension.

And that was it! I finished my drawing of Steve. It wasn’t perfect, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It was a fun little project, and it reminded me that even the simplest things can be fun to draw.

Learned a few things:

Starting with basic shapes is key.

Don’t be afraid to eyeball the proportions.

Adding small details can make a big difference.

Shading is your friend.

So, that’s how I draw Steve. Maybe you have a different approach? Let me know in the comments!
