Okay, so I’ve been following the LSU baseball team pretty closely this season, and let me tell you, it’s been a rollercoaster! They’ve had some amazing highs and a few tough losses, but overall, it’s been a season to remember.

I started tracking their scores from the very beginning. I remember the first few games; the team was on fire! They were scoring runs like crazy, and the pitching was solid. They even had a stretch where they shut out their opponents a few times. It felt like they were unstoppable. I was like, “This is our year!”
Then came the SEC Tournament. Man, that was a nail-biter. Every game felt like it could go either way. I was glued to the TV, yelling at the screen, probably driving my neighbors crazy. They made it all the way to the final against Tennessee, but sadly, they lost 4-3. That one hurt. I mean, they were so close!
After the SEC Tournament, they went into the NCAA Tournament. I was hoping they’d bounce back, and they did, at least for a while. They had some great wins, especially that one against Georgia where they crushed them 9-1. I was feeling hopeful again.
- High Scorer: Tommy White, their third baseman, is an absolute beast. He’s been driving in runs like there’s no tomorrow, and it looks like he leads the nation in RBIs per game.
- Draft Picks: A bunch of guys from the team got picked in the MLB draft. That’s awesome for them, but I was a little sad to see some of them go.
- Championships: Oh, and get this, I found out they’ve won seven national championships in the past! That’s a pretty impressive record if you ask me.
But then they played North Carolina, and things didn’t go their way. They lost that game 4-3, too. Another heartbreaker. I slumped back in my chair, totally deflated. It felt like deja vu from the SEC Tournament final.
Even though they didn’t win it all this year, it was still a heck of a season. I mean, they scored over 600 runs! That’s a ton of offense. And their pitchers had 12 shutouts, which is pretty darn good.
Final Thoughts
So, that’s my journey following LSU baseball this year. I watched a lot of games, celebrated the wins, and felt the sting of the losses right along with them. It was a wild ride, and even though they fell short of the ultimate goal, I’m still proud of what they accomplished. I’ll definitely be back next year, ready for more baseball action!
