Trying Out That Haitian Radio Thing
So, someone mentioned this Haitian radio station, uh, Radio Vision 2000, the other day. Said they had a net presence. Sounded interesting, you know? I like seeing what people are listening to elsewhere. Decided I’d give it a look, see if I could actually tune in from here.

First thing, I just tried searching for the name, Radio Vision 2000 Haiti. That seemed the most straightforward way to start. Got a bunch of results, naturally. Had to sift through a bit to figure out which one looked like the main source, the official way to listen online.
Found something that looked promising. It wasn’t super obvious at first, took a couple of clicks. Landed on a page. Looked like a basic site, nothing too fancy. Okay, fair enough, doesn’t need to be flashy, just needs to work.
Getting it to Play
Now the main part, actually hearing the radio. Looked around for a ‘Listen Live’ button or something similar. Found one, eventually. Wasn’t huge, kinda blended in. Clicked on that.
It opened up a player, or tried to. Sometimes these things work straight away, sometimes they need a specific player or plugin. This one took a moment to buffer. Standard stuff. Then, sound started coming through. Success! It was actually playing live radio.
What I Heard
Listened for maybe half an hour just to get a feel for it. Here’s what I noticed:

- Content: Seemed like a mix. There was some talking, sounded like news or a discussion show maybe? Hard to tell for sure with the language barrier, but the tone felt serious. Then later, some music kicked in. Definitely had a local vibe, which was cool.
- Sound Quality: It was okay. Not crystal clear like some big international streams, but perfectly listenable. About what you’d expect from a live internet radio stream, maybe a bit compressed.
- Interface: The player itself was basic. Just play, pause, volume. Didn’t see track info or anything like that when the music was on. Kept it simple.
Overall thoughts? Yeah, it worked. I managed to find it and listen without too much hassle once I located the right starting point. It was interesting to tune into a broadcast from Haiti directly. Took a little searching and clicking, but got there in the end. Just a straightforward process of finding the stream online and hitting play. Did what it said on the tin, basically. A decent little exploration.
