Today was a weird one, guys. I was all set to watch the Guardians and Astros wrap up the regular season. You know, get one last baseball fix before the playoffs. I got my snacks ready, settled into my favorite chair, and turned on the TV. But something was off. The game was supposed to start, but nothing happened.
So, I started flipping through channels, thinking maybe I got the time wrong or something. Nope, game time came and went. Still nothing. Then, I hopped online to see what was going on. Turns out, there was a massive rain delay. Alright, these things happen, no big deal. I figured I’d wait it out. An hour goes by, then two, then three… Still no baseball.
At this point, I’m starting to get antsy. I mean, I love baseball, but three hours is a long time to stare at a blank screen. Finally, I saw an update online. The news wasn’t good. They officially cancelled the game! Seriously? After all that waiting, they just called it off? Man, that was a bummer. I guess the weather was just too bad. It must have been a real downpour in Cleveland.

- Wait… and wait… and wait some more.
- Finally, see the announcement that the game is cancelled.
Here’s the timeline of my frustrating day:
I mean they waited for such a long time, over three hours! This was just for a regular season game, the finale to be specific, between the Guardians and the Astros, and then they just cancelled it. The final score doesn’t even matter anymore, the Guardians were 92-69 and the Astros were 88-73. Such a weird situation.
Well, that’s my story for today. A bit of a letdown, but what can you do? Hopefully, the weather will be better for the playoffs. Let me know if any of you guys had a similar experience today.
