Getting the Bike Ready
First off, I hauled my Honda Fury outta the garage this morning. Dang thing was dusty as hell after sittin’ there all winter. Grabbed my microfiber cloth and spent like forty minutes wipin’ down every inch – chrome pipes, that long front end, even the weird tear-shaped gas tank.

Location Hunting Drama
Took me forever to find decent spots for pictures. Wanted some downtown brick walls but got kicked out by security within minutes. Ended up drivin’ to this abandoned warehouse district where nobody bothered me. Pro tip: cracked concrete makes the Fury’s red paint pop like crazy.
Shootin’ Nightmare
My phone camera sucked for this. Couldn’t capture how low this beast sits. Had to borrow my nephew’s DSLR after strugglin’ for an hour. Also the weather turned nasty – dark clouds rolled in just when I found perfect lighting. Almost packed up but waited it out drinkin’ lukewarm coffee from my thermos.
- Biggest headache: Framing that 57-degree V-twin engine without gettin’ my shadow in the shot
- Weird win: Accidentally took best side-profile pic when I tripped over a curb
- Epic fail: Dropped my lens cap in a puddle of mystery goo
Final Tweaks
Uploaded everything to my laptop and deleted like 80 garbage shots. Brightened some images ’cause the chrome was lookin’ dull. Cropped out random trash cans photobombin’ the background. Still ain’t happy with the front tire close-ups though.
Honestly? That long chopper-style frame always photographs weird. Makes it look heavy in pics when it’s actually nimble on the road. Maybe should’ve shot some action rollin’ shots but didn’t wanna risk droppin’ my nephew’s fancy camera.
