Hiwan Golf Club Facilities? Explore Driving Range and Clubhouse

So yesterday I got this random urge to hit some golf balls, right? Figured why not check out Hiwan Golf Club since I heard they had decent facilities. Grabbed my old clubs from the garage – dust bunnies included, obviously – and drove out there. Parking was surprisingly easy, found a spot right near the clubhouse entrance.

First Impressions at the Driving Range

Walked straight to the driving range since that was my main goal. Holy cow, the place was fancy. Two levels of hitting bays, all covered from the weather. Felt kinda like a golfing fortress. Rented a bucket of balls – prices made me do a double-take, but whatever, it’s golf.

  • Mat Quality: Not bad. Kinda worn in spots, but better than the lumpy turf at my usual cheap spot.
  • Ball Quality: Actually decent! Most weren’t scuffed to death. Felt like winning a tiny lottery.
  • Targets: Big flags out there – easy to see where you’re aiming. Saw this dude slice one clear over the fence… ouch.

Spent a good hour whacking balls. My swing’s still crap, but man, it felt good. Nice breeze, didn’t get rained on. Success!

Wandering into the Clubhouse

After sweating buckets at the range, I figured I’d cool down inside the clubhouse. First thought? Air conditioning. Sweet relief. Place was polished wood and fancy carpets – kinda felt like I should tiptoe. Definitely smelled like leather and… rich people? Weirdly cheap snack bar though. Grabbed a lukewarm soda.

Checked out the lounge area:

  • Seating: Big comfy leather chairs everywhere. Way nicer than my couch.
  • Views: Massive windows looking over the putting green. Felt almost cinematic.
  • Pro Shop: Racks full of polo shirts priced like gold bars. Passed on shopping.
  • Lockers: Saw members strolling into this “Members Only” hallway. Fancy secret society vibes.

Got a glimpse of the restaurant area – looked nice but empty at 3 PM. Menu prices confirmed I wasn’t sticking around for lunch. Ended up chatting with the bored bartender. He says evenings get lively, especially weekends.

Wrapping It Up

So yeah, that was my impromptu Hiwan tour. Range absolutely worth a visit if you wanna hit balls without dodging rain or crappy balls. Clubhouse? Gorgeous if you dig the atmosphere, but bring your wallet if you plan on eating or buying anything fancier than chips. Might go back just for the range… after I practice my swing in the backyard first. Save some cash on those balls.

Anyways, clubs are back in the garage. Dust bunnies missed ‘em.
