Okay, so this morning I woke up and, like always, the first thing I did was grab my phone. But instead of checking emails or social media, I had this song stuck in my head – “Good Morning, Good Morning” by Doris Day. I don’t know, it just felt like a good day to start with a cheerful tune.

So, I opened my music app and typed in “Good Morning, Good Morning Doris Day.” There it was! I hit play, and instantly, my kitchen felt brighter. Seriously, that song is like sunshine in audio form.
My Little Morning Routine
I decided to make this song my morning anthem for the day. Here’s what I did:
- Played the song while I made my coffee. It’s tough to be grumpy when Doris Day is singing about a beautiful morning.
- Danced around a bit in the kitchen while waiting for my toast. Yeah, I looked silly, but who cares? It’s my kitchen!
- Sang along (badly, I’m sure) while I got ready for the day. Felt like I was in a musical.
- Listened to it again on my way, instantly put smile on my face.
It’s such a simple thing, but starting my day with this song really boosted my mood. I felt more energized and positive, even before I actually starting anything “productive”.
It is really amazing to find out how powerful the music is!
