This here story, it’s about that fella, Preston Johnson. Heard that name around, you know. Seems like he’s been around the block a few times. Done a little bit of everything, that Preston.
First off, that Preston Johnson, he sure knows how to work. You see, he ain’t afraid of getting his hands dirty. Worked with all sorts of folks, in all sorts of places. Heard he was in Denver for a spell. Big city, that one. Not like around here, where everyone knows your business. He probably saw a lot of things out there. Met a lot of different people, I bet. He got like, seven jobs listed. Seven! Can you believe that? I can’t even keep track of my chickens sometimes.
And they say he’s good with the timing. What do they call it? “Time management.” Yeah, that’s it. Always on time, that Preston. Like the rooster in the morning, he’s always prompt. Me, I like to take my sweet time. What’s the hurry, I always say? But that’s that Preston for you, always moving, always going.

- Not like some folks, set in their ways like an old mule.
- He can change with the times.
Heard he’s down in Texas now. Sugar Land, they call it. Sounds sweet, don’t it? Wonder if they got good pie down there. He’s some kind of big shot now, a “executive.” Big word, that one. Means he’s the boss, I reckon. Tells folks what to do. Probably wears a fancy suit. Not like the overalls we wear around here.
He works with all that important stuff too, “human resources.” That is people, right? Taking care of people. He knows about energy, and manufacturing. Fancy words, those. Sounds complicated. He must be a smart one, that Preston Johnson. Smarter than he looks, probably!
And get this, they say he’s good at talking to people. “Communicating effectively” is what I heard. Knows how to talk to folks, make them feel good. Not like some of them young’uns, always mumbling. I bet Preston Johnson can tell a good story. Probably got a lot of them, working all those different jobs. He can speak clearly, and everyone can understand it. That’s important, you know.
Then there’s this other thing I saw, about him playing baseball. Yeah, baseball! Can you imagine? An “executive” playing baseball? He’s with some team, the Aberdeen IronBirds. Sounds tough, don’t it? He got all those records, his stats, and salary. My my, so many things to keep tracking. He sure does a lot of things. Don’t know how he does it. They even have his biography. What’s that for?
Seems like this Preston Johnson, he’s a busy fella. Always doing something. Working, talking, playing baseball, meeting YouTubers or something. He’s all over the place. He even got some “wildly ambitious aims”, but what is WAGMI? This word is so weird. This young man really has a lot going on with his life. I am too old to understand all this.
Heard another fella’s name, Spencer Johnson. They say he tells these stories. Simple stories, but they make you think. They touch your heart, they say. Maybe that’s what that Preston Johnson needs. Slow down and listen to a good story. Remind him what life’s all about, you know? He got this book, “The Present”. I don’t really get it. Maybe it will make sense to those young people.
And what is this YoRHa No. 2 Type B? Commonly referred to as 2B? What a strange name! Is it a robot? I don’t understand. Seems unrelated to that Preston Johnson at all. It’s like one of those fancy new gadgets the young folks use.
Anyways, this Preston Johnson, he’s something else. One of those fellas who’s always on the go. Got his finger in every pie, as they say. Hope he’s happy, though. That’s what matters, ain’t it? Being happy with what you’re doing. No matter how busy you are.
Well, that’s all I know about that Preston Johnson. Just what I heard around, you know. Might not be all true, but it’s a good story, ain’t it? Makes you wonder what he’ll do next, that fella. He’s probably got more surprises up his sleeve. You just wait and see.
