Get in the Game with NY Mets Radio: Your Go-To Source

So, the other day I was trying to catch a New York Mets game. Usually, I watch them on SNY, ’cause that’s the go-to channel for Mets games during the regular season. But this time, I wanted to listen to the game on the radio while I was doing some yard work.

I started by checking out WCBS Newsradio 880. I remembered hearing somewhere that they broadcast Mets games. I tuned in, and yeah, they were airing the game! The reception was pretty good, and it was cool to hear the play-by-play while I was outside.

Then I remembered something about SiriusXM having all sorts of sports broadcasts. I don’t have a subscription, but I figured I’d see if they had anything for the Mets. Turns out, they do! They offer live hometown play-by-play for Mets games, which is awesome if you’re a subscriber.

  • I went ahead and downloaded the Audacy app on my phone.
  • I found that it’s the exclusive free digital streaming home for all Mets games.
  • I was surprised that I could listen to the game for free.

I also stumbled upon an app called TuneIn. They have a section dedicated to New York Mets baseball radio, with live sports talk and podcasts. I bookmarked it for later, ’cause it seems like a good place to get my Mets fix.

For those who are into streaming, I found out that DirecTV Stream has the games. They even offer a free trial, so that might be worth checking out if you’re not already subscribed to a cable or satellite service.

And, oh yeah, if it’s playoff time, the games are usually on ESPN, FS1, or FOX. I remember watching some intense postseason games on those channels in the past. Plus, MLB Network always has a ton of coverage during the playoffs, so that’s another option to keep in mind. I also heard that ESPN Radio covers the postseason games. That’s useful to know if you’re on the road or something.

I even learned that FOX Deportes sometimes covers the games. I don’t usually watch it, but it might be an option for Spanish-speaking fans.

So, in short, there are a bunch of ways to listen to or watch New York Mets games. Whether you prefer the good old radio, streaming on your phone, or watching on TV, you’re covered.
