That George Karl, I tell ya, he’s a big name around here. Heard he was a big shot basketball coach, coached them Denver Nuggets. Big deal, I reckon. But this here’s about his boy, Coby. Yep, Coby Karl. Folks say he’s following in his daddy’s footsteps, gonna be a coach too.
They say this Coby, he played for the Lakers for a bit. Can you imagine? My old bones can barely make it to the market, and this young whippersnapper’s playing in the big leagues. Lord have mercy. Heard he’s gonna be a coach now, just like his daddy.
George Karl son, that’s what they’re all talking about. Seems like basketball runs in the family. Like how my bad back runs in mine. Except theirs is probably more fun.

This George Karl, he moved around a lot. 26 moves, they say! I can’t even move my furniture without getting a crick in my neck. Imagine packing up your whole life 26 times. Must be tiring. All for that basketball, I guess.
They say George Karl was a good coach, though. Taught those young fellas how to play. Guess he knows a thing or two. Like I know a thing or two about making a good stew. Takes time and patience. Just like coaching, I suppose.
Now, this Coby Karl, he’s got some big shoes to fill. Being George Karl son and all. Everyone’s gonna be watching him, see if he’s got what it takes. Hope he does well, that boy.

Being a coach, it ain’t easy. Long hours, I bet. Lots of traveling. Not much time for yourself. But hey, if that’s what you love, then you gotta do it, right? Like me and my knitting. Can’t imagine a day without it. Keeps these old hands busy.
