Oh boy, let me tell you about that time I went to the F1 Grand Prix in Spa back in 2018. It was a wild ride!

Getting There and Settling In
First off, I packed my bags. I made sure to bring some snacks and drinks. I remember reading somewhere that you could bring your own stuff, just no booze or glass bottles. I didn’t want to risk it, so I stuck to water and some sandwiches. No glass, just to be safe.
- Water
- Sandwiches
- Snacks
I made sure to double-check the list of things they wouldn’t let in. No weapons or anything that looked like one. I left my pocket knife at home. And no bulky stuff, which was fine by me – who wants to carry a ladder around a race track anyway?
Exploring the Circuit
The Spa-Francorchamps circuit is huge! Seriously, it’s a beast. I decided I was gonna see as much of it as I could. I put on my comfiest shoes because I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking. From the start line to that crazy tight La Source hairpin, I walked around that thing and saw almost every corner.
I remember standing near Pouhon, those fast turns are insane. You can really feel the speed of the cars there. It was awesome! I spent hours just wandering around, soaking it all in. I was excited that the race begin!
The Race – Vettel vs. Hamilton
August 26th, 2018 – the day of the race. The atmosphere was electric. Everyone was buzzing. And let me tell you, the race did not disappoint. It was a showdown between Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. Those two were going at it the whole time. In the end, Vettel took the win, beating Hamilton by a good 11 seconds. It was intense! The crowd went wild, and I was right there in the middle of it, cheering along with everyone else.

Man, that was a day to remember. The 2018 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa – definitely one for the books. If you ever get the chance to go, do it! Just remember your walking shoes and leave the ladders at home.
