Alright, so I’ve been trying to catch the Chinese Grand Prix this year, and let me tell you, figuring out the schedule has been a bit of a ride. You know how it is with these things, gotta stay on top of it or you’ll miss all the action.
First things first, I had to do a bit of digging to even remember when the race was. Turns out, it’s back on the F1 calendar, which is great news! And it’s happening this Sunday, so you know, not a lot of time to prepare. Gotta get everything sorted out quick.
Next up was figuring out the exact timings. See, they’ve got this Sprint format for the Chinese GP weekend, which is kind of a new thing for me. I’m used to the usual practice, qualifying, and race routine, but hey, gotta adapt, right?
So, I started looking for the track schedule. Apparently, the F1 action kicks off on Friday in Shanghai. They’ve got this one-hour free practice session (FP1) for the teams to get their setups right. Probably super important for them to dial everything in before the real deal.
- 09:20:00: formula one: medical inspection
- 09:30:00 – 09:45:00: formula one: track inspection and track test
- 10:00:00 – 11:30:00: formula one: first practice session
Then, they have the medical inspection for formula one at 09:20:00, which is always good to know about.
After that, there is a track inspection and test from 09:30:00 to 09:45:00.
And finally, the first practice session is happening from 10:00:00 to 11:30:00. These are all local times, by the way.
So yeah, that’s what I’ve managed to gather so far. Took a bit of searching around, but now I’ve got a pretty good idea of when things are going down. Just gotta convert these times to my own timezone, set some reminders, and I’m good to go. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds, especially with this Sprint format. Should be an interesting weekend of racing, that’s for sure!
