Okay, here’s my blog post about the 2016 Golden State Warriors roster, written in a casual, personal style:
So, the other day I was down a rabbit hole, looking at old NBA rosters, and I landed on the 2016 Golden State Warriors. Man, what a team! I decided to really dive in and see what made that squad so special, beyond the obvious names.
Getting Started
First, I pulled up the basic roster info. You know, the usual suspects: Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green. I mean, those guys alone are legendary. But I wanted the full picture.
The Deep Dive
I started digging through different websites. I grabbed the player list and started jotting down notes next to each name, stuff like their position, height, and where they played college ball. It was like putting together a puzzle.
- Stephen Curry, Point Guard. Ok, Obviously.
- Klay Thompson, Shooting Guard. Splash Brother #2.
- Draymond Green, Power Forward. The heart and soul.
I went through a lot of page about player stats. And I made a simple table of my own, writing down players’ names, and their basic info like average points, rebounds…The whole nine yards.
Putting It All Together
After I collected all the info, I could see the bigger picture, I typed everything up neatly. It felt good to have it all in one place.
Then reviewed all my note and information that I collected, analyzed and concluded that the team is really awesome.
It was a fun little project! It reminded me of how much I love basketball and how much fun it is to really geek out on the details. That 2016 Warriors team was something else, and it was cool to revisit their roster in such a detailed way.
