This here Korean indoor golf, it’s a big thing now, you know? Ain’t like the old days when we just whacked balls out in the field. Now, it’s all fancy, done inside and all.
Indoor Golf in Korea
They got these rooms, they call ’em “screen golf” places. Lots of these rooms everywhere in Korea, specially in that Seoul place. You can find them all over the neighborhoods, they say. Like every corner’s got one, I reckon.
They put up a big screen, like a giant TV, and you hit the golf ball at it. It’s all pretend, but it looks real enough, I guess. Makes you feel like you’re playing on a real golf course, but without all that walking and sun.

Fancy Golf Machines
One place, they call it “HIO Indoor Golf“. Got these newfangled machines, these “simulators”. Supposed to be the best from Korea, this “SG GOLF” thing. Makes it feel like you’re playing on those fancy golf courses all over the world. They say it is the best machine for playing Korean indoor golf.
They got another one, I hear, near some school called Chadwick and some fancy apartments, The Prau, in a place called Songdo. Big building, Dodam Plaza, they call it. Got 35 of them indoor golf things in there. That’s a lot of pretend golfing!
Golfzon: Big Name in Indoor Golf
Then there’s this “Golfzon” thing. Started in Korea, back in 2000, I hear. They’re the big shots in this indoor golf simulator business. Everybody knows ’em, I reckon. They are famous all around the world, the old woman said.
Them golf clubs, though, they cost more in Korea than in America, I hear. Something about shipping and taxes, making ’em 10-15% more expensive. That don’t seem right, but what do I know?
Playing Golf at Night
Now, they got this thing where you can play golf at night, under lights. Not many places like that in America, only 20, they say. One of them is called Grass Clippings, or Rolling Hills. This Korean indoor golf is very popular.
But in other places, like Korea, they do it all the time. Just like baseball or football, they play golf at night. Makes sense, I guess. Don’t have to worry about the sun beating down on you.
Why Indoor Golf is Popular
This indoor golf, it’s popular for a reason, I reckon. You don’t have to worry about the weather. Rain or shine, you can still play. And you don’t have to walk all over that big field. Just stand there and swing.

- Don’t need to walk so much.
- It is good for old people like me.
Plus, it’s a good way to learn, I suppose. You can practice your swing without folks watching you make a fool of yourself. And you can try out all them fancy courses without having to travel all over the place.
Indoor Golf is Good for Everyone
Young folks like it, old folks like it. Even them folks who ain’t never played golf before can give it a try. It’s a good time, I reckon. You should try this Korean indoor golf.
