Okay, so today I decided to finally check out Emerald Hill Farm in Essex. I’d heard about it from a few friends, and, you know, I’m always up for a little adventure, especially if it involves cute animals and pretty scenery.

Getting Started
First thing I did was, like, check the weather. It was supposed to be sunny, so I threw on some comfy clothes and sneakers – gotta be prepared for some walking, right? Then I packed a small backpack with water, some snacks (because, priorities!), and my camera. I was determined to get some good shots!
The Drive
The drive there was pretty chill. I put on my favorite playlist and just enjoyed the ride. It’s not too far, which is a bonus. I hate long drives. Traffic wasn’t bad either, thankfully.
Exploring the Farm
Once I got there, I paid the entrance fee, grabbed a map, and just started wandering. The first thing I saw were these adorable goats! Seriously, so cute. I spent a good chunk of time just watching them play and, of course, taking pictures.
- Saw the goats!
- Checked out the chickens and ducks.
- Walked around the fields, it was peaceful.
Taking it all In
I have to say, walking the trails made me feel alive.
I made great time strolling through the beautiful scenery, with the view so incredible I felt as if nothing else in the world mattered in that moment. I found a nice quiet spot overlooking a field and just sat there for a while, soaking it all in. It was super relaxing and exactly what I needed.

Wrapping Up
After a few hours of exploring, I decided to head back. I grabbed an ice cream from the little shop they have there (treat yo’self!), and hit the road. Overall, it was a great day! I’d definitely recommend Emerald Hill Farm if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing day out. I’ll probably go back again sometime, maybe with friends next time.
