So, I fired up Disney Dreamlight Valley today, and guess who had a job for me? Scrooge McDuck, of course. Always something with that duck. This time, it was one of his “brilliant” treasure hunts. He handed me this dusty old note, basically the first clue.

Starting the Hunt
The note was a bit vague, as usual. Talked about “where sunlight first kisses the meadow” and something about “a stall full of green.” Took me a minute, but I figured he meant Goofy’s stall in the Peaceful Meadow, right when the sun comes up. So, off I went, shovel in hand, because you know these things always involve digging.
I got to Goofy’s stall, looked around a bit. The note mentioned something about “behind,” so I checked the area just back of it. Sure enough, after a few pokes with the shovel, I dug up another piece of a clue. This one was more like a drawing, a really badly drawn picture of a beach and a pointy rock.
Beachcombing for Clues
Okay, “beach” and “pointy rock” pretty much screamed Dazzle Beach. There’s that big pointy rock formation on the eastern side, near the Pillar of Power. So, I trekked over there. The picture also had some scribbles that looked like palm trees. I started digging around the base of the palm trees closest to that pointy rock.
After making a mess of the sand, I eventually hit something hard. Another note! This one was a bit more cryptic. It said something like:
- “Where water sleeps but isn’t a pond.”
- “Guarded by a thorny entrance.”
- “And a big, dark tree stands watch.”
This had me stumped for a bit. “Water sleeps but isn’t a pond”… maybe a puddle? Or something in a cave?

Into the Glade
Then it clicked. The Glade of Trust! It’s got those dark, murky waters and that big, twisty tree near the entrance from the Meadow. And it’s definitely “thorny” with all those Night Thorns I keep having to clear out. I headed into the Glade, went straight for that big, prominent tree. It’s usually a good landmark for these kinds of things.
I started digging around its roots. This took a while, honestly. I was starting to think Scrooge was just sending me on a wild goose chase for his own amusement. But then, CLINK. My shovel hit a small, wooden chest. Not a huge treasure, mind you, but a chest nonetheless.
The “Treasure”
I popped it open. Inside? A few Star Coins, a couple of gems (nothing too fancy), and one of those memory orb fragments. And, of course, the final “piece” of the treasure, which turned out to be an old, tarnished spyglass. Looked like something Scrooge would value, I guess.
So, I trudged all the way back to Scrooge’s store. Handed him the spyglass. He was all puffed up and pleased, going on about its “historical significance” or whatever. Got my usual pat on the head, a few more Star Coins for my trouble, and that was that. Another day, another fetch quest for Uncle Scrooge. At least the valley’s a bit tidier where I dug all those holes, right?
