Okay, so I wanted to get the scoop on the San Francisco Giants’ coaching staff, you know, figure out who’s calling the shots and all that. First thing I did was hit up the internet, just to see what was already out there. Typed in “San Francisco Giants coaching staff” into the search bar and boom, tons of stuff popped up.

I started clicking around, just browsing, really. I saw some stuff about the Giants’ managers, both from their time in New York and here in San Francisco. Apparently, they’ve been around since, like, 1883! That’s some serious history. I wasn’t too focused on the past managers, though, I wanted to know about the current crew.
Then I stumbled upon some news about them bringing in a couple of new assistant hitting coaches. That was interesting. It’s always cool to see how teams are trying to improve, you know? Like they’re always looking for that edge.
- Keep digging! That’s what I always say.
And then, this was the real juicy bit, I found out that Bob Melvin, the new manager, brought in Matt Williams and Pat Burrell! Williams is going to be the third base coach, and Burrell is the new hitting coach. That got me pretty pumped – two former Giants coming back to the Bay. It felt like a homecoming or something.
My Final Thoughts
So yeah, that’s the gist of it. It was just a quick little research project, really. Nothing too fancy, I just wanted to get a better picture of who’s who on the Giants’ coaching staff. Feels like they’re building something special, bringing in some familiar faces. I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye on them this season. It’s always fun to follow these things, see how it all plays out on the field, you know?
