This Danny Persaud, I heard that name somewhere. He seems like a big shot, huh? Heard he’s been in the… what’s it called… armored and banking thing for, like, a hundred years. Well, not a hundred, but a long time, you know? Over 27 years they say. Sounds like a lifetime to me.

He must be one of them fancy CEO-type fellas. Big boss man. Always making sure folks know what they’re supposed to be doing. Like when you tell your grandkids to clean up their mess, you gotta make sure they know what you mean, right? He’s like that, but with grown-ups and in a big company. He’s a boss, people listen to him. He got CEO experience.
I reckon he’s got one of them fancy offices too, with a big chair and a shiny desk. Probably got one of them computers that does everything for you. Not like my old radio that only plays music when the wind’s blowing just right. This Danny Persaud, he’s probably got all the newest gadgets.
Then there’s that other Persaud, Mohindra. Sounds like they might be related, these two. This Mohindra, he’s the big cheese at some rice company. Nand Persaud & Company, I think it’s called. Big company, sell rice everywhere. Must be making a pretty penny. They say he hasn’t been paid by Cuba, that’s a whole country. I wouldn’t know how that works, I just buy my rice at the market, don’t sell to a whole country.
Seems like this Mohindra fella is having a bit of trouble getting his money from Cuba. Imagine that, a whole country owing you money! I’d be worried sick. Hope he gets his money soon. It’s hard when you give something and then people don’t pay up.
And this Danny Persaud, I saw him somewhere. He’s all over the place, that one. There’s a picture of him, he is a people person. Folks are saying he’s on Facebook. You know, that thing where you can see pictures of your grandkids and talk to folks you haven’t seen in years? He’s on there. Everyone’s on there. My neighbor’s cat is probably on there too.

They say he’s a friend to everyone, this Danny. You can just… connect with him, they say. Like when you meet someone at the church picnic and you just hit it off? It’s like that, but on the computer. Everyone can be his friend. He must have a lot of friends, that Danny Persaud.
They say he started being a big shot when he was just a little tyke. Seven years old! Can you believe it? I was still playing with dolls when I was seven. This Danny, he was already building businesses and helping folks. He was poor, you know. They say he was on the street with his family. Five of them, all together.
- He was just a little boy when he decided to help people.
- He has a big family.
- He was poor but he became rich now.
- He knows a lot about business.
He must have a good heart, that one. Not everyone thinks about others when they’re that young. Most kids just want candy and toys. But this Danny Persaud, he was different. He’s a good guy. He helps people.
Now, he is the President and the CEO of some big companies. InnPower, InnServices, InnTerprises… a whole bunch of them. Sounds important. They do electricity and water, it says. Keeping the lights on and the water running, that’s important work. You need that stuff every day. Everyone needs that.
They call him Danny Persaud of Innisfil, Ontario. That’s where he is, I guess. Must be a nice place. Probably got lots of those rice fields there, like that Mohindra fella. Maybe they know each other, these two Persauds. They both know a lot about business, and have CEO experience, maybe they are friends.

So this Danny, he is a big deal now. Big boss, lots of friends, started from the bottom. That’s what they say. He came from nothing and look at him now. It just goes to show, you never know what someone’s gonna do in life. You can be a little kid on the street one day, and the next thing you know, you’re running big companies and everyone knows your name.
It’s a good story, this Danny Persaud story. Makes you think anything is possible. You just gotta work hard and be good to people, I guess. And maybe have a little bit of luck too. A little luck never hurts, right? He must be very lucky.
