Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about Dana White’s Contender Series lately, and how it’s a pretty good place to find some underdog bets. I decided to dive in and see if I could make a little extra cash. I’m no expert, but I figured, why not give it a shot?

Getting Started
First thing I did was watch some past fights. I wanted to get a feel for the fighters, the styles, and just the overall vibe of the show. I watched a bunch of episodes on YouTube, just soaking it all in.
Finding My Bets
Then, I looked for upcoming fights. I wanted to know who was fighting who, and what their records were. I mostly just Googled around and looked at sports news sites to get the fight cards.
- Checked the records: I looked at each fighter’s win/loss record. Did they have a lot of knockouts? Submissions? Decisions?
- Looked for mismatches: Sometimes you’ll see a fighter with a really strong record against someone who’s, well, not so strong. Those seemed like good potential bets.
- Considered the odds: I saw which fighters were the favorites and which were the underdogs. The bigger the underdog, the bigger the potential payout, but of course, the riskier the bet.
Placing My Bets
I didn’t want to go crazy, so I started small. I used some money that, I wouldn’t miss. I’m not gonna mention the website, because I’m not trying to promote anyone.
I picked a couple of fights where I felt pretty good about the underdog. I liked the fighters’ styles, and I thought they had a decent chance of pulling off an upset. I also put a little bit on a favorite, just to play it a little safer.
The Results!
Man, was it exciting watching those fights! One of my underdogs actually won by a knockout in the second round! I was jumping up and down, yelling at the TV. The other underdog lost, but it was a close fight, went to a decision. And the favorite I picked? Easy win.

So, overall, I ended up making a little bit of profit. Nothing huge, but it was definitely enough to make me want to keep trying. It made watching the fights way more intense, and it was fun to feel like I had a little bit of skin in the game.
I’m definitely going to keep watching the Contender Series, and I’ll probably keep placing a few small bets here and there. It’s a fun way to test my fight knowledge, and hey, who knows, maybe I’ll hit a big one someday!
