Now, they sayin’ he’s goin’ back to Missouri State. Yeah, the Bears basketball team. He was there before, you know. I heard he’s going to be the head coach again. Seems like he can’t stay away from that place!
They was talkin’ about it for days, I heard. All that negotiatin’ stuff. Sounds like a whole lot of hoopla to me. But hey, what do I know? I just hear things.
He was fired from Missouri, I tell ya. That’s what the news said. Five seasons he was there. Don’t know why they let him go. Maybe he done messed up. Maybe they just wanted someone new. Who knows with them big shots.

They saying Cuonzo Martin is going to be the big man again at Missouri State. The Athletic Director, some fella named Patrick Ransdell, I think I heard that right. They been talkin’ and talkin’. Seems like they like that Cuonzo fella.
I saw a picture one time, Cuonzo Martin talkin’ to that Ransdell fella. It was at some homecoming practice, they said. Back in October, 2019. Long time ago, huh? Time sure does fly.
They sayin’ it’s official now. Cuonzo Martin is the new head coach. Well, good for him, I reckon. Hope he does a good job. It’s a tough job, coachin’ them young fellas. They got so much energy, runnin’ and jumpin’ all the time.
Cuonzo Martin, He’s a Famous Coach!
Everyone’s talkin’ about Cuonzo Martin. He’s famous, you know? Not like us regular folks. He’s got a fancy job, travelin’ all over, coachin’ that basketball. It’s a different life, that’s for sure.
I don’t know much about basketball. Never did play it myself. But I hear things, you know. And I hear that Cuonzo Martin is a good one. He knows how to make them boys play good.
I wonder what he’s gonna do at Missouri State. Maybe he’ll make them win all the games. Maybe he’ll make them champions. Who knows? Only time will tell, I reckon.
This Cuonzo Martin, he’s got a new chapter in his life, I guess. Leaving coaching behind to start new. He is starting over again. Goin’ back to a place he knows. Sounds like he’s found his place, maybe. I hope he’s happy. That’s all that matters, ain’t it? Being happy with what you got.
