Getting Ready for Kick-Off
Alright, so I was really looking forward to this Club Tijuana vs Cruz Azul match. You know how it is, sometimes you just need a good game to watch, forget about stuff for a bit. I made sure I had everything set up. Got off work, grabbed some snacks on the way home – the good stuff, not just whatever was lying around. Planned to just chill on the couch, maybe have a couple of beers.

I specifically checked the schedule earlier in the week. Made sure I knew the channel, the time, everything. Didn’t want any last-minute scrambling. It felt like a solid plan. Just a simple evening, you know? Football and snacks. Doesn’t get much better than that sometimes.
Well, That Didn’t Go as Planned
So, game time approaches. I settle in, turn on the TV, navigate to the app I use for watching Liga MX games. And what happens? Nothing. Just a spinning wheel. Okay, I thought, maybe it’s just slow today. Happens sometimes. I waited. Still spinning.
I started doing the usual routine:
- Closed the app, reopened it.
- Checked my internet connection – nope, internet was fine, other stuff worked.
- Restarted the TV.
- Even tried logging out and logging back into the app.
Still nothing. Just that stupid spinning circle mocking me. By this point, I could hear the commentary starting up on my neighbor’s TV through the thin walls. Great. Everyone else is watching, but I’m stuck dealing with tech issues.
I missed the first 15 minutes just messing around with it. Frustration started building up, you know? It’s like, I pay for this service! Why is it so unreliable right when I actually want to use it? It reminded me of that time my car battery died right before I had to drive to an important meeting. Things just seem to fail at the worst possible moments.

Eventually, I gave up on the app. Tried finding some dodgy stream online, but they were all terrible quality and kept buffering. Ended up just following the score updates on my phone, which is just sad, isn’t it? Totally ruined the vibe. Instead of a relaxing evening watching Tijuana and Cruz Azul battle it out, I spent it being annoyed at technology. Just another reminder that sometimes, simple plans are the hardest ones to actually pull off.
