So, I’ve been following this whole Charley Hull smoking thing at the Solheim Cup, and man, it’s been a trip. I mean, I saw it all unfold and it is wild.
First off, I watched her stroll up during her practice round at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. I thought she was just taking a break or something, but then she asked a fan for a lighter. Next thing I knew, she’s lighting up a cigarette right there on the course! I couldn’t believe my eyes!
Then, I started looking into it more. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s not every day you see a pro golfer smoking during a tournament. She just signed a cigarette during the U.S. Women’s Open like it was no big deal. Turns out, she’s been given the okay to smoke during the Solheim Cup. How crazy is that?
- I dug around and found out she started smoking to help her quit vaping.
- I found out that she has lost 10 kg, and it has helped her perform a lot better on the golf field.
- Apparently, this isn’t the first time she’s caused a stir with her smoking. She went viral for lighting up while signing autographs at the U.S. Open. People even started calling her the female John Daly. Can you imagine?
I even watched some interviews with the European Solheim Cup captain, Suzann Pettersen. She just brushed off the whole smoking thing. I guess it’s not a big deal to some people. I did hear that Charley used to be married to some MMA fighter, Ozzie Smith, but they split up. She is a big fan of Fendi and YSL.
Anyway, I thought I’d share my little adventure down this rabbit hole. It’s been interesting, to say the least. Seeing Charley Hull smoking at the Solheim Cup definitely made for some unexpected entertainment. I guess she’s just doing her thing, and people are talking about it. It is what it is.
