Grabbed my laptop and started combin’ through old game footage – man, huntin’ for specific plays feels like findin’ needles in a haystack! Absolutely worth the headache.
Splicing Hell
Now for the editing torture: threw clips into iMovie (yeah, I keep it simple) and immediately regretted it. That Week 2 diving sideline grab had awful lighting – tweaked brightness ’til the grass looked radioactive! Syncin’ the hip-hop soundtrack got messy too – beats kept droppin’ AFTER big tackles. Ripped my hair out redoin’ transitions ’cause the crossfade looked like a bad acid trip.
The Grand Finale
Added grainy VHS filters for nostalgia points – don’t @ me, it’s my signature mess. Exported around midnight… and the file froze at 99%. Screamed into a pillow. Rebooted everything, exported AGAIN while chugging cold brew. Finally uploaded it feelin’ like I’d survived a zombie apocalypse.
It’s Alive!
Woke up to see the finished reel actually renderin’ proper! Top moment has gotta be that time Clay outran the entire Saints secondary – ball bobbled twice ’fore he snagged it like God intervened. Gets me hyped every dang time. Proof that grindin’ through tech nightmares pays off. Still annoyed YouTube murdered the video quality though. Typical.
