I heard tell it was Jimmy Fallon and that DJ Khaled fella. Yeah, the loud one, always yellin’ “Another one!” and such. They was goin’ head-to-head, just the two of ‘em, playin’ a few holes. Not the whole shebang, just four little holes, like a quickie game.

This whole thing happened over in Nevada, at a place called Edgewood Tahoe. Fancy golf course, I bet. Not like the dusty patch we got behind the feed store. This one probably has them smooth green carpets and little white balls that go flyin’ far.
Ford, the car people, they was the ones payin’ for it all, I guess. Got their name all over the place, just like they do. Smart fellers, them advertisers.
So, Fallon and Khaled, they battled it out on the green. I bet it was somethin’ to see. Fallon, he’s a funny fella, always makin’ jokes. Khaled, well, he’s just loud. But I heard tell Fallon won. Good for him. He seems like a nice enough young man.
Now, if you wanna watch it, you gotta get yourself one of them Peacock things. It’s like a TV channel, but it comes through the internet. Fancy stuff, I tell ya. You gotta pay for it too, Peacock Premium they call it. Everything costs money these days.
They showed it on somethin’ called the Golf Channel too, a few days later. So, if you missed it on Peacock, maybe you caught it there. But me? I just heard about it from my niece, she’s always on that darn phone of hers.
I ain’t much for watchin’ golf, myself. Too slow. I prefer a good ol’ rodeo. But this Cardigan Classic, it seemed different. It was more than just hittin’ little balls with sticks. It was about havin’ some laughs and helpin’ them kids. And that’s somethin’ I can get behind.
