Alright, folks, gather ’round, because I’ve got a story for you. So, there I was, trying to catch the Bruins vs. Oilers game the other night. Now, I’m no tech wizard, but I figured, “How hard can it be to watch a hockey game in 2024?” Famous last words, right?

First off, I dug around to find out when the game was even happening. Turns out, it was on Thursday, December 19th, at 9 PM ET. Okay, cool, I got the time. Next, where to watch it? This is where things started to get interesting.
I saw that it was going to be on ESPN+. I didn’t have that, but I was not give up. I headed over to my computer, I found out that NESN also show this game, and there’s an app for it – NESN 360. I never used that app before, so I downloaded it to my phone.
After that, I created an account, it took me around 5 minutes to finish the whole process, and everything was ready. While I was waiting for the game to start, I checked the team stats on the app, which was pretty cool. They had all the details you could ever want.
Then, game time! I opened the NESN 360 app, found the Bruins vs. Oilers game, and hit play. The stream was smooth, no buffering, and I was all set. I also tuned into the Oilers Radio Network, 880 CHED, to listen to the commentary. It was like being right there in the arena!
But wait, there’s more! I learned about this thing called Oilers+, which had pre-game and post-game shows, and some behind-the-scenes stuff. I’m a sucker for that kind of content, so I subscribed to it. They even had a documentary series called “The Drop.” I haven’t watched it yet, but it’s on my list.
