Getting My Hands on Brisbane Open Tickets
Alright, so I decided I wanted to check out the Brisbane Open this year. Heard some good players were coming down, figured it’d be a decent day out. The first step, obviously, was figuring out how to get tickets.

Fired up the old laptop and started searching. You know how it is, you type in “brisbane open tickets” and suddenly you’ve got a million tabs open. Some sites looked a bit iffy, promising the world but looking like they were built back in the dial-up days. I always try to find the official seller if I can, less hassle usually.
Found what looked like the proper site. Had to figure out which day I wanted to go first. Looked at the schedule, tried to guess which days might have the better matches, always a bit of a gamble that early on. Then came the seat selection. You get those maps, little dots showing what’s free. Spent a fair bit clicking around, trying to find a decent spot that wasn’t going to cost an arm and a leg. Some of those prices, wow.
Here’s where it got a bit annoying. The session timed out on me once! Had to go back, pick the day again, find the seats again. Little bit frustrating, that. It wasn’t super smooth, the whole clicking and choosing process felt a bit clunky, but got there in the end.
Finally picked my seats, went to the checkout. Had to either log in or create an account – another account for another website, got millions of ’em now. Filled in all the usual stuff, name, address, the lot. Double-checked the order, made sure I hadn’t accidentally bought tickets for the wrong day or something stupid like that.
Pulled out the credit card, typed in the numbers carefully. Always get a bit nervous at that point, hoping the payment goes through okay. Clicked the final button… and waited. That little spinning wheel thing, you know?

Success! Got the confirmation screen, and then the email popped up almost straight away. Phew. Tickets secured. Felt pretty good, actually. Job done. Now just gotta wait for the day to roll around.
