Okay, so I was looking for some information about Brendan Schaub’s fight record, you know, to see how this guy really did in the octagon. It’s always interesting to dig into these fighters’ pasts, see what they were made of.

I started by, you know, just punching “Brendan Schaub fight record” into the good old search bar. First few hits gave me the usual stuff – his overall record, height, weight, the basics. Looks like he ended up with 10 wins and 5 losses. Not bad, but not exactly legendary, either. He’s a big guy, 6’4″, fought in the heavyweight division, obviously.
Digging Deeper
But I wanted more than just the numbers. I wanted to see who he fought, how the fights went down. So I started going through the results one by one. There were a couple of names I recognized, like Travis Browne and Andrei Arlovski. Both of those were losses for Schaub, it seems. One by TKO against Browne, and a split decision loss to Arlovski. Ouch, those had to sting.
- First loss: Travis Browne, TKO. That means a knockout, basically.
- Second loss: Andrei Arlovski, a decision loss. So it went the distance, but the judges didn’t see it his way.
He did have some wins, though. I saw a submission win over Matt Mitrione, and a unanimous decision win over Lavar Johnson. He won the bout via TKO in the first round against Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 116, and had a 47-second TKO win over Chase Gormley at UFC Live. Cool, so he could definitely finish fights, both on the feet and on the ground.
What Else Did I Find?
Then I stumbled upon some more personal stuff about him. He’s 41 now, born in Aurora. They call him “Big Brown.” Makes sense, given his size.
I also read a little bit about some drama he had with Nate Diaz. Sounds like they had some beef on Twitter. He shared his teary speech about Carwin. There’s always some drama in the fight game, I guess. And it seems like he’s stepped away from stand-up comedy to focus on his family and podcast. Makes sense, that’s a tough life.

So, that’s what I found out about Brendan Schaub’s fight record. It was a pretty interesting deep dive. He had his ups and downs, like any fighter. It looks like he fought some tough guys and had a decent run, but ultimately decided to hang up the gloves and move on to other things. Pretty standard story for a lot of these guys, honestly.
