Okay, so today I decided to finally organize my sports equipment, and the boxing gloves were on the top of my list. You know how it is, things just pile up and you never get around to actually sorting them out.
Finding the Gloves
First, I had to find all the gloves. I knew I had at least one pair, the ones I use regularly at the gym. Those were easy, sitting right in my gym bag.

But I was pretty sure I had another pair, an older set from when I first started boxing. I remembered stashing them somewhere “safe” – which usually means I’ve hidden them from myself.
I looked in the garage, under the stairs, even in the attic. It was like a treasure hunt, except the treasure was old, sweaty boxing gloves.
The Second Pair
Finally, I found them! Tucked away in a box of old sports gear in the garage. They were a bit dusty and definitely smelled like they’d been through a few rounds.

So now I had two pairs of boxing gloves. One pair was my go-to, relatively new and in good shape. The other, a relic from the past, still usable but definitely showing its age. I lined the two pairs and placed them where I could get them.
Cleaning and Storing
I decided to give both pairs a good wipe down. The newer ones just needed a quick clean, but the older ones needed some extra love. I used some leather cleaner on both and let them air out for a bit.
Now, both pairs are clean and stored neatly in my sports equipment bin. No more hunting around next time I want to hit the gym!
It was a simple task, but it feels good to have everything organized. And who knows, maybe finding that old pair will inspire me to do some extra training sessions.
