Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole bowl games predictions thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Started off pretty clueless, to be honest. I mean, I like watching the games, but figuring out who’s gonna win? That’s a whole other ball game, haha.

First, I tried just going with my gut. You know, like, “Oh, that team’s got a cool mascot, they must be good.” Yeah, that didn’t work out so well. Lost a few friendly bets with my buddies. My wallet’s definitely lighter because of that.
Then, I started digging around online, looking for any kind of tips or, I guess you could say, some kind of secret formula. Found some website called, “FiveThirtyEight,” or something like that. They use this “Elo-based model.” It went right over my head, this stuff. But I pretended to understand it.
After that, I went to the schedule on a website. It showed the schedule of the games and the dates. I started to write them down one by one.
I also tried looking up what other people were saying. You know, like, reading articles, checking out what the so-called “experts” were predicting. CBS, they got this thing called the “Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl” on December 30th. And this year is 2023, so that’s a few days away. I better put in my predictions soon!
Honestly, there’s so much info out there, it’s kind of overwhelming. Like, some folks are talking about these “key predictors” for whether a team is in good shape. It got me a little confused. I just wanna have some fun with this, not get a headache.

I even stumbled upon this weird issue online. These people were talking about some “err_too_many_redirects” error. They said it only happens in some “Back office”. It was like some code thing and I don’t even know what that’s all about. Reminded me of the time I crashed my computer trying to download more RAM. Man, those were simpler times.
Oh, and get this, I found this random story about a helicopter in Peru. It was a “Great Slave Helicopters Bell 212,” whatever that means. And it was called “C-GKTL.” Apparently, it was carrying supplies. Totally off-topic, but it was kind of interesting. Or maybe I’m just easily distracted.
Then just to see what would happen, I typed in, “definition of ian, who is 18 years old.” Don’t even ask me why, I just did it. I guess I was curious about what the internet had to say about a random name and age.
So yeah, after all that messing around, I finally made my predictions. Am I confident about them? Not really. But hey, it’s all in good fun, right? I’ll update you guys on whether I was right or not. And you know what? Probably not, but it is fun to guess.
Wish me luck! I think?
