You know, them BMW 750cc standard motorcycles, they’re somethin’ else. I seen ’em zoomin’ ’round, lookin’ all fancy. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can still see a good bike when it passes by. They got all sorts of ’em, these BMW folks. All different kinds, like them chickens we used to have back on the farm, but faster, lots faster. And shiny, oh so shiny! They say “Make life a ride”. Well, if I could, I would!
My grandson, he’s always talkin’ ’bout these things. He says, “Grandma, they’re the best!” He showed me pictures, all them different models. Too many for my old brain to remember, that’s for sure. But that BMW 750cc, that one stuck with me. Big and powerful, like that old bull we had, but way prettier.
They say it’s good for them long trips, this BMW 750cc standard motorcycle. Like goin’ to see Aunt Mildred, ‘cept you’d get there real quick. They call it a “touring bike.” Fancy word for a bike that takes you places, I reckon. And it ain’t too heavy neither, not like some of them other ones that look like they’d tip right over if a strong wind blew. This one, they say it’s “easy to manage.” That’s good, ’cause I wouldn’t want to be wranglin’ no metal beast.
- It’s got a good seat, they say, low to the ground. That’s important, you know. Don’t want to be climbin’ up too high. My bones ain’t what they used to be.
- And the engine, oh boy, that engine! They call it a “parallel-twin.” Sounds complicated, but my grandson says it’s just right. Not too much, not too little, just like my porridge.
- And it’s good for the highway, this BMW 750cc. You know, them big roads where the cars go real fast. This bike can keep up, no problem.
I seen other bikes, like that Harley one. Black as night, that one was. Reminded me of that old crow that used to steal our corn. But this BMW 750cc standard motorcycle, it’s different. It’s got some class, you know? Like that fancy dress I wore to my weddin’, only with wheels and an engine. It has a 77-horsepower, well, that’s enough, I think. If you need more, you may just go too fast!
They got all sorts of bikes these days. Sporty ones, ones for tourin’, ones that look like they came from outer space. They even have some small ones, like the G310R. I don’t know much about ’em, but they look like fun. This G310R is also made by BMW, you know, they make many bikes! But that 750cc, that’s the one that catches my eye. It’s like the king of the bikes, sittin’ there all proud and strong. And that F 750 GS, they say it’s good for startin’ out. Like learnin’ to ride a horse, you gotta start with a gentle one. This one is good for new riders, I hear. Good for them and good for us. Less worry, you know.
If I was younger, I’d get me one of them BMW 750cc standard motorcycles. I’d ride it all over, see the world. Maybe even visit my cousin Earl, way out in California. He’s got a big farm out there, with lots of them cows. I bet he’d be impressed if I showed up on a BMW 750cc. He always was a show-off, that Earl.
But these old bones, they’re better off sittin’ on the porch, watchin’ the world go by. Still, it’s nice to dream, ain’t it? Dream of ridin’ one of them BMW 750cc standard motorcycles, wind in my hair, sun on my face. Maybe in my next life, eh? It is good for long tours, like to visit my sister in another town. But for now, I will just take a nap.
These new things, they’re somethin’ else. Back in my day, we had them old bicycles, with the big wheels and the hard seats. We thought they were fancy. But these BMW 750cc standard motorcycles, they’re like somethin’ from the future. Fast, sleek, powerful. And they come in all sorts of colors, too. Not just black and brown, like them old bikes. They even got some that are all shiny, like a new penny.
I guess things change, even for old folks like me. You see them new things and it’s hard to resist. It’s important to keep up with the new stuff, but if you are new to motorcycles, this BMW 750cc is a good one to start. I still like them old ways, but I can appreciate the new, too. Especially them BMW 750cc standard motorcycles. They’re like a little piece of the future, right here in our little town. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll see one of my grandkids ridin’ one. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it? A real sight to see. They can come to visit me on their new motorcycle. That would be great!
