My Messy Journey Finding Thomas Wagner’s Best AOT Moments
Alright, so yesterday I decided I really wanted to watch the best Thomas Wagner scenes from Attack on Titan again. You know, those epic moments? Problem was, I couldn’t remember exactly which episodes had his biggest highlights. Figured it was gonna be easy, just look it up and watch. Yeah, right.
First thing I did was jump on my computer. Opened up my usual browser and typed in something like “Thomas Wagner AOT best scenes”. Hit enter, feeling pretty confident. Boom. First few links looked promising… until I actually clicked them. So freaking frustrating. One site wanted me to sign up for some stupid newsletter before showing anything. Another had the scenes listed but the video players were broken, just showing spinning circles forever. Wasted a good half-hour clicking around, getting madder by the minute.
Thought, “Fine, screw the websites, I’ll just check Youtube directly.” Searched there. Lots of results popped up, sure. But it was mostly full-length episodes where he showed up for like, five seconds, or weird fan edits with terrible music overlays. None of it was just the pure, raw moments I craved. Where’s that charging scene? That roar? Felt like wading through mud trying to find the good stuff scattered everywhere.
Got desperate. Pulled out my tablet, opened the Crunchyroll app I pay for, thinking “I paid for this, must be easier.” Wrong again. Started scanning episode descriptions for Season 4, trying to spot Thomas Wagner’s name in the massive list of characters. Painful. Tried skipping through episodes I vaguely remembered. My internet chose that exact moment to get super slow. Videos buffered constantly, quality dropped. Spent ages jumping around, getting scenes I didn’t want, missing the ones I did. Notebook beside me was filling up with messy notes: “Episode 75?” “Maybe near the end of 77?” Total chaos.
Okay, deep breaths. Changed tactics. Opened my phone notes app and decided to rebuild the list from scratch based on my own memory, crazy as that sounds. Typed out everything I could recall:
- That huge charge with the steam blowing everywhere
- His desperate last stand when things were falling apart
- The moment he realized they were screwed but kept fighting
- The aftermath scene showing the cost
Started piecing it together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Grabbed my laptop again. Used my notes to search Crunchyroll for the specific episodes I wrote down. Skipped directly to the timestamps I roughly recalled. Bingo! Found the charge scene in Episode 76. Roared at the screen again. Kept digging. Eventually, through sheer stubborn clicking and skipping, I got them all:
- The planning scene where the tension was thick
- THE CHARGE (So. Much. Steam!)
- The frantic defense breaking down
- His raw scream realizing the cost
Got some salty snack, dimmed the lights, and finally just binge-watched all those scenes back-to-back right there. No interruptions, no buffering. Pure glory. Felt amazing after all that trouble.
Finished, feeling pumped. Went to my desk to maybe jot this hunt down later… and accidentally knocked my full coffee mug straight onto the keyboard. Coffee. Everywhere. Keyboard shorted out. Spent the next hour frantically unplugging, wiping, hoping it’d dry out. Stupid disaster after finally finding the perfect Wagner moments. Keyboard might be toast. Typical ending to my epic quest. Should’ve just enjoyed the scenes and gone to bed!
