Auto Crafter in Minecraft: How to Make It (Simple Tutorial for Beginners)

Okay, guys, let’s dive into how I finally figured out this auto crafter thing in Minecraft. It’s been on my to-do list forever, and I’ve finally cracked it!

First, I gathered all the materials. You know, the usual suspects. I made sure I had plenty of:

  • Redstone dust (lots of it!)
  • Redstone repeaters
  • Redstone comparators
  • Droppers
  • Hoppers
  • Chests (for storage, duh)
  • And, of course, a crafting table

I started by placing the crafting table. That’s the heart of the whole operation, right?

Then, I got to work on the Redstone circuitry. This is where it gets a bit tricky, but bear with me. I placed droppers facing into the crafting table, one for each ingredient slot. I did use different designs, so this step may be different according to design.

Next, I connected hoppers to each of those droppers. These hoppers are going to feed the ingredients into the droppers. It’s like a little conveyor belt system.

I used Redstone comparators to detect when an item is in the hopper. This is important because it tells the system when to push the ingredient into the crafting table.

I added redstone dust and repeaters. Because comparators only send a short and weake signal.

I set up a chest system above the hoppers. This is where I dumped all my raw materials. The hoppers will pull from these chests.

The Test Run

Okay, so after all that wiring and placing, I ran a test. I put the ingredients for, say, a wooden pickaxe into the top chests. I flicked a lever (I added a lever to start the whole process, forgot to mention that!), and I watched.

The hoppers started pulling, the droppers started dropping, and… boom! A wooden pickaxe popped out of the crafting table! Success!

It took a few tries to get the timing right. I had to adjust some of the repeaters to make sure the ingredients arrived in the crafting table at the right time. But after some fiddling, it worked like a charm.

Now, I can just dump my materials into the chests, flip the lever, and let the auto crafter do its thing. It’s a huge time-saver, especially when I need to craft a bunch of stuff at once. I used it multiple times now.

So there you have it! My journey to building an auto crafter in Minecraft. It wasn’t super easy, but it was definitely worth the effort. Go ahead to try it now!
