Okay, so I saw this crazy picture online of Miami Beach, with sharks swimming super close to people. I just had to try and recreate it with AI. I’ve been messing around with image generators lately, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
My Little Experiment
First, I fired up my favorite image generator. I’ve tried a few, but this one seems to give me the best results so far. I started with a simple prompt: “aerial view of Miami Beach, clear water.” It gave me a decent starting point, a nice sunny beach scene.
But no sharks, obviously. So, I added “sharks swimming near the shore” to the prompt. Boom! Suddenly, there were sharks everywhere. Maybe a few too many. It looked like a sharknado movie poster.
I tweaked the prompt, trying things like “a few sharks in the water,” “sharks close to swimmers,” and so on. It took a few tries, changing a word here, adding a detail there. It’s kinda like talking to a very literal-minded artist. You have to be super specific.
The swimmers were tricky. At first, the AI didn’t even include people. Then it gave me these weird, blob-like figures. I had to add phrases like “people swimming in the ocean,” “clear view of swimmers,” and even specified “bikinis” and “swimming trunks” to get something that looked remotely human.
- Attempt 1: Way too many sharks! Looked unrealistic.
- Attempt 2: Swimmers looked like aliens.
- Attempt 3: Better, but the sharks were too small.
- Attempt…lost count: I think I have something that looks like a cool image.
It took a lot of playing, and the images were not perfect, far from that, and some of them were even hilarious. Sometimes AI is like working with a child, I needed to try many times and I had to use really simple words, but it was a fun experience, and the final results were interesting and I wanted to share them here.
