I picked up AEW Fight Forever last Tuesday because my buddy kept bragging about his stacked roster. When I booted it up, half my favorite wrestlers were missing. Started digging and realized there’s a bunch locked away. Naturally, I went hunting.

First thing I tried was grinding exhibition matches. Played about 50 rounds controlling different characters, from Darby Allin to CM Punk. Took forever, just unlocked one alternate attire. Zero hidden fighters popped up. Felt like I wasted three evenings.
Then I found this old forum post mentioning Road to Elite mode. Started a custom wrestler career, playing through story branches. When I chose villain routes and attacked referees, MJF showed up post-match to cut promos. Kept doing this until Chapter 4 – boom! Owen Hart popped up as unlockable after surviving his challenge match.
The Secret Sauce
Here’s exactly what clicked:
- Career milestones: Won 100 matches total (mix of exhibition/career)
- Chaotic choices: Picked every dirty tactic option in Road to Elite
- Minigame torture: Beat every AEW Game developer in the arcade minigames
That last one took practice. Spent two hours on that damn slot machine game until I hit the jackpot. Suddenly Brodie Lee’s silhouette appeared! Nearly threw my controller at the wall when Paul Wight unlocked after I created ten custom wrestlers. Why they hide Big Show behind CAF menus makes zero sense.
After smashing through 80% of the achievement list:

- Vince McMahon surprise appearance after I lost via count-out
- Abadon in Casino Battle Royale after 30 eliminations
- Andrade unlocked when I played as Pac against 7 different opponents
Took me eight days total. Now my roster’s complete except Thunder Rosa – still haven’t figured why she won’t trigger. If you’ve unlocked her, hit me up in replies. This game’s secrets are wilder than a tables match!
